* Remove ts and sw from vim modeline when noet is setFlorian Pritz2014-01-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | Forcing vim users to view files with a tabstop of 2 seems really unnecessary when noet is set. I find it much easier to read code with ts=4 and I dislike having to override the modeline by hand. Command run: find . -type f -exec sed -i '/vim.* noet/s# ts=2 sw=2##' {} + Signed-off-by: Florian Pritz <bluewind@xinu.at> Signed-off-by: Allan McRae <allan@archlinux.org>

* Update copyright yearsAllan McRae2012-02-20
| | | | | | | Add 2012 to the copyright range for all libalpm and pacman source files. Signed-off-by: Allan McRae <allan@archlinux.org> Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>
* Allow fileconflict if unowned file moving into backup arrayDan McGee2011-07-14
| | | | | | | | | | | The bulk of this commit is adding new tests to ensure the new behavior works without disrupting old behavior. This is a relatively sane maneuver when a package adds a conf file (e.g. '/etc/mercurial/hgrc') that was not previously in the package, but it is placed in the backup array. In essence, we can treat the existing file as having always been a part of the package and do our normal compare/install as pacnew logic checks. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>

* Fix several -Wshadow warningsDan McGee2011-06-27
| | | | | | | | | | Only one of these looked like a real red flag, in find_requiredby(), but it doesn't hurt to fix several of them up anyway. Unfortunately, we can't turn this on universally due to things like the sync(), remove(), etc. builtins which we often use as variable names. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>
* Convert backup list to new pmbackup_t typeDan McGee2011-06-22
| | | | | | | | This allows us to separate the name and hash elements in one place and not scatter different parsing code all over the place, including both the frontend and backend. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>

* Const correctness!Dan McGee2007-06-05
| | | | | | | | | Add some 'const' keywords all over the code to make it a bit more strict on what you can and can't do with data. This is especially important when we return pointers to the pacman frontend- ideally this would always be untouchable data. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>
* * A whole mess of backup changesAaron Griffin2007-02-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | - the code should be clearer, more organized, commented, and have worthwhile variable names now - proactive backup=()s now work. That is, adding a file to a backup array does what it should on the upgrade to that package, no longer forcing you to wait a full upgrade cycle for it to take effect * ldconfig was being run twice on an upgrade operation - fixed * fixed another pm_fprintf/printf output corruption with the progress bars * refactored some duplicate code for adjusting 'requiredby' lists * Added config.rpath to .cvsignore
* Preliminary checkin for alpm_list conversionAaron Griffin2007-01-19
| | | | | | | | | * renamed pmlist_t -> alpm_list_t * made alpm_list_t a public type (alpm_list.h header) * removed additional storage for registered DBs in pacman source * some code cleanup * removed duplicate (pm)list_display functions from pacman source * misc code cleanup
* A handful of minor changes:Aaron Griffin2006-10-20
| | | | | | | | * Removed the PMList typedef, in favor of the same naming scheme other structs use 'pmlist_t' * Added a time stamp on debug output, to make it more informational * Moved alpm_db_register to _alpm_db_register, making the public function not take a callback parameter
* patch from VMiklos - use PACKAGE_VERSION instead of PACMAN_VERSIONJudd Vinet2006-01-02
